FIVE ways to revive dry winter skin

It's that time of year again! The woolly coats are out of the closet along with strong winds, dry air and of course, dull winter skin. Your skincare routine should change with the seasons just like your wardrobe. Here are FIVE ways to maintain your plump, dewy skin for the season ahead:

1. A Cream Facial Cleanser

Foam cleansers to the back of the cabinet please. A good cream cleanser is a winter staple for your skin. It helps to maintain the skins barrier and keep moisture in. Try our soothing cream cleanser infused with jojoba oil, macadamia oil and avocado oil for soft, purified and hydrated skin.

2. A Vitamin B Serum (Hyaluronic Acid)

Serums are a thinner consistency but are packed full of concentrated nutrients. A good hyaluronic acid serum helps to lock in moisture for long lasting hydration. It also works wonders for brightening the skin and anti-ageing. Try our hyaluronic acid serum with 5% Vitamin B3 and 2% Vitamin B5. 

3. A Rich Cream Moisturiser

Swap to a richer moisturiser that is oil based to maintain and protect your skins barrier. Pack on a hefty amount morning and night straight after washing to really lock in the moisture. 4. A good SPF

This is one product that is an all-year-round must have. SPF is critical in winter months to defend already dry skin against further damage. Remember to extend your SPF to your neck and hands as well and look for something with at least SPF30 protection.

5. Avoid HOT showers

When we think of cold nights.... hot, steamy showers seem like a must. BUT, unfortunately they are also a quick way to strip your skin from its natural oils causing it to be dry, itchy and sometimes flaky. Try to keep the water temperature as warm as you can bare and immediately after showering, lather up the face serums and creams to lock in moisture.
